Start Your Network Marketing Business Right the First Time
Starting a network marketing business is a great choice for a secondary or primary income. If you are new to the industry or considering joining a MLM company, in this article I cover some helpful tips to get you started in the right direction.
Before you jump in with both feet and blinders on, like so many new network marketers do, it’s a good ideal to work out a marketing plan and set some predetermined goals. If you concentrate on these tips in the beginning you won’t be feeling overwhelmed and frustrated later on.
Believe me when I say this because it happened to me.
Hopefully after reading this network marketing article you can avoid some of the same mistakes I made and further improve your results when you start your home based business.
#1 – Schedule. It’s important to know when you are going to work your network marketing business. Just like everything else you have a schedule: A schedule for work, a schedule for family life, a schedule for social and recreational activities. It’s important to figure out when you will work your network marketing business and create a schedule around that time.
Start out by writing down what you do in a twenty four hour period seven days a week. This way you can see what times are available for you to work your business. Start out by committing to work 2-4 hours a day. As time passes you can increase the amount as your business will dictate by the growth.
#2 – Budget. Every business has a budget and your MLM business should be no different. Your budget will consist of the items you need to run your business, such as: Monthly Autoship, Company Branded Apparel and Tools, Marketing Expenses and Training.
In the beginning don’t buy everything just purchase what you need to present your MLM opportunity in a professional manner. A good lesson I learned is to put a minimum of 20% of what you earn back into your budget. As you start earning commissions you can upscale your marketing efforts.
#3 – Recruiting. Your business will not grow if you are not recruiting new distributors and customers. Your primary focus should be on these money making activities. Set yourself a goal as to how many new distributors you want to sponsor into your business in a week or month. Avoiding waiting to get everything set up and start prospecting right away. Go for the Weekly Goal to avoid a slow start in the beginning.
#4 – Mastermind. Listen carefully as I speak from experience, If you are new to the industry find yourself a MENTOR. This could be your sponsor, someone in your upline or someone you connect with that is a leader in the online network marketing industry. Reach out that individual and ask for their help or guidance. You might find them more than willing to help you, especially if you are in their downline.
#5 – The Right MLM Company. Finding the right network marketing business opportunity for you is important. To avoid jumping from one MLM company to another find a company and product that aligns with your beliefs or lifestyle. A company and its product line you would be proud to represent.

Once you determined your goals and created your business plan around them it’s time to take ACTION. Your COMMITMENT and DETERMINATION will help you from deviating from your plan and keep you moving forward in your network marketing business.
The professional network marketer is always in a constant state of learning. They are always taking in knowledge and learning the arts of the network marketing industry. Your goal should be to learn anything that will help you to become a leader and to turn a profit.
